Anastasia & Daniel ~ Wollongong wedding

Meet Ana and Dan..... a gorgeous, happy, sweet couple who were officially my last wedding of 2011! Ana and Dan were married and held their cocktail reception at the picturesque Cliffhanger Cafe at Bulli Tops. After pouring rain the day before, and a miserable morning, we were all a little worried that the weather wouldn't clear. But amazingly at lunchtime blue sky started to appear and the afternoon became warm and humid. Ana and Dan's day was 1940's themed and was filled with lots of great music (and very talented musicians), stunning dresses and awesome suits, gigantic red and white balloons, a yummy lolly bar and a super fun photobooth!!! They are very passionate about their music, and serenaded each other with special surprise songs that brought a tear to the eye. Sorry for such an enormous post, but I just can't help myself! I am so lucky to have been a part of such a special day. Enjoy!

Lisa and Ken were married at Lisa's parents' lovely property at Moruya on a warm, sunny Spring day! The garden ceremony looked beautiful with lanterns and candles, and a path of rose petals leading the way. Lisa looked radiant in her white gown carrying a trailing bouquet dotted with her favourite flower, blue orchids. We had a fun bridal party shoot at the beach with everyone in great spirits and more than happy to pose for the camera, including little flower girl Carla, who was just fantastic! Bec and Matt were married at lovely Wimbie Beach with their ceremony conducted by celebrant Belinda Quick! It was another soggy start to the day but we were so fortunate in that the rain stopped before their ceremony and gave us a few hours grace. I loved the stunning royal blue theme to the day with the girls' bouquets by A Classy Touch being a real eyecatching addition. Bec and Matt's reception was held at the ClubCatalina Country Club and the room looked amazing. Thank you for asking me to be a part of your day Guys... it was a real pleasure :-)

Meet Belinda and Wayne.... a couple who are gorgeous both inside and out! They were married at the stunning Mimosa Winery at Bermagui on a mild Spring day. Bel looked absolutely beautiful in her ivory silk gown and veil and her bridesmaids looked lovely in soft purple. Bel and Wayne's adorable baby girl Laila and their cute niece Callie were the flower girls. The boys looked very dapper and relaxed in their grey suits with open-neck shirts. After some time spent at Cuttage Beach and the winery for photos, Bel and Wayne had a wonderful time with their family and friends dancing the night away with Bec Brown of DJ Matt Brown providing the music! Bel and Wayne, thank you so much for including me in your day... I had a great time with you all :-) Sorry for such an enormous post... I just couldn't help myself!!!

Emma & Brendan ~ Batemans Bay

Emma & Brendan were married at the lovely Murramarang Resort on a windy Spring day! It was the first Saturday we've had for quite a while where there was no rain in sight, and although the wind was a little distracting, the day was wonderful nonetheless. Emma looked radiant in her gown, complemented beautifully by her bridesmaids in yellow. The boys looking equally as handsome in pinstripe suits with vests!

Megan & Tim ~ Moruya Wedding

Megan and Tim were married at the beautiful Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Moruya on a mild Spring day! It was a lovely service with tears of joy making it even more special. The girls were gorgeous in long bright blue gowns and Megan looked gorgeous in her stunning white gown carrying yellow and white roses. The boys were equally as handsome in black three-piece suits.
The rain has not been my friend this wedding season so far and the ominous black clouds looming after the ceremony were not a good sign! It wasn't long after we started the bridal party shoot that the sky opened up and we all had to dash for the wedding cars. Luckily Megan and Tim had a fabulous property owned by a friend that we could use for their photos. A lovely homestead with a big verandah makes for a delightful location. We were very blessed in that the rain eventually stopped and we were able to continue with the photos out in the open on this beautiful property. Megan and Tim... thank you so much for asking me to be a part of your wedding day. You were all so much fun and so accomodating... and I had a great time laughing at all the speeches! Enjoy :-)

I had the priviledge of photographing Angela and Michael's wedding in 2010, so when Michael's sister Leanne contacted me to book a portrait session for both their families, I was very honoured. After rescheduling due to rain, we were very fortunate to have a beautiful morning at the beach. Steph and Tim were married at the quaint Open Sanctuary Church at Tilba. The theme of the day was 1940's elegance and Steph looked absolutely gorgeous. I had a fun boudoir session with Steph before the ceremony and an even more fun 'trash the dress' during the bridal party shoot. It poured with rain during the ceremony and it certainly didn't stop Steph and Tim getting out in it as well. Luckily the rain stopped and we had an awesome time at Camel Rock :-)

Meet the most sweetest couple ever... Nicole and Paul! Quiet and unassuming, these are two of the loveliest people I've ever met. Having grown up in the Bay also, I knew Nicole by 'face' but we hadn't actually met. They were married at Batemans Bay Anglican Church on a warm spring day. Nicole looked radiant in her gorgeous gown made (yes made) by Paul's mum Joan. She is a very clever lady as she also made the beautiful flowers girl's dresses and the pageboy's vests. Nicole and her attendants, Paul's nieces and nephews, arrived in stunning silver and black Chryslers. The girls carried gorgeous posies made by the very talented Joycie of Joycie's Flowers. Their wedding was elegant and pretty, and quite classic in style... I LOVED it! Their reception at ClubCatalina Country Club looked wonderful.... all sparkling with hints of silver and soft pink, and the lolly bar looked amazing. Might I add that Nicole designed and made everything herself!!!! Nicole and Paul, thank you so much for asking me to be a part of your day... enjoy!

Courtney and Shannon were married at Barlings Beach on a very chilly and windy Spring day! They are from a farming town in Western NSW and wanted to come to the coast for their special day. Courtney arrived at the ceremony in her Dad's beautiful old Ford. Family is very important and they wanted to fully include them ~ there were lots of happy tears throughout the day. It was absolutely freezing on the beach but luckily we were able to find a sheltered spot for their photos :-)

Meet Beth and Gareth, who held their ceremony and reception at beautiful Murramarang Resort! We had days of heavy rain leading up to the big day and I must admit I was getting a little worried. Huge seas hammered the coastline and the day before the wedding, after inspecting the beach and seeing the huge waves crashing in, it was clear that a ceremony on the sand was not to be. Beth is from Canada, and it was her family's first visit to Australia, so they were quite awstruck by the surf. The plan was to move the ceremony to the grassy area next to Beagle Bay, and once Beth and Gareth and their families saw this spot, complete with kangaroos grazing, they were more than happy with the change of plan (and to snap a few pics of their first encounter with our native wildlife)! Thankfully, the rain decided to clear for their special day. Beth and Gareth wanted to incorporate their different family heritages into their day, thus Gareth and his groomsmen wore traditional Scottish kilts to honour part of his heritage. They also carried daggers guilded with each's family crest and jewel, which I thought was an especially wonderful idea. The girls looked beautiful, with Beth's hair and makeup by the super talented Gina Last, and her bridesmaids in lovely claret red cocktail dresses. Beth incorporated a part of Australia into her day as the girls carried stunning native floral bouquets made by A Classy Touch Florist. Their intimate reception also had touches of heritage with native flowers on the cake as well as a cute kangaroo and beaver figurine. The guests' bomboniere were biscuits with a Canadian maple leaf and the Southern Cross piped onto them. I felt very honoured to be a part of such a symbolic and special day :-)

This is a bit of a special blog post.... meet beautiful Golden Retriever 'Laci'. Laci was diagnosed with cancer not long ago and she hasn't been doing too well. Her 'Mum' Cathrina thought it might be nice to have some professional photos of Laci, and I think they will be a lovely momento to look upon in the future. Laci is a special part of Cathrina's life and the fact that she is only two years old makes her diagnosis especially sad. Laci went to sleep today, so this blog post is for her <3

I have another sweet newborn sneak peek to share... meet little Miss S! She is the tiniest, sweetest little thing and of course on the day of her session, she decides to get very curious and not drift off to sleep right away... lol. But I'm actually kinda glad, because I'm in love with this first shot of her wide awake.... so adorable! After getting her dressed in a beautiful matinee jacket and hat knitted by her Grandmother, and then a bit of feed time, S drifted off to sleep for the rest of the session. Big sister T is equally as gorgeous and was happy to sit for a couple of photos as well, with some shots of all the family at the end. Ingrid & Mark ~ Gold Coast wedding

It's always lovely to photograph the wedding of someone I know. So when my friend Ingrid asked me if I wouldn't mind heading up to the Gold Coast to photograph her wedding.... I felt especially honoured. The fact that we hadn't seen each other for almost seven years, also made it really special :-) Ingrid and her lovely Husband Mark were married at the beautiful botanical gardens on a sunny and mild Winter day. Following their moving ceremony, we stayed at the gardens for bridal party photos, and as you can see by the additon of Yoda to the photo of the boys (Mark had to carry him around on his back for his Buck's night... lol), we had a great time! When the light was finally disappearing, we headed to L'Esprit On The Water for the reception ~ what a beautiful venue, with awesome water and city views as well! I have another adorable newborn for you..... meet 2 week old J! Mum warned me that little J did not like being nude and would almost certainly wake if we undressed him. As he was sleeping so soundly when I arrived, we decided it best to get some photos with his cute little outfit on first, then perhaps we could try some nudie pics. True to Mum's word, he woke as soon as we undressed him, so lucky we got some lovely squishy shots of him sleeping soundly first. Dad quickly popped home from work to have a few family photos with his new little boy, their beautiful connection was so lovely :-)

Meet 12 day old J... isn't he precious? He was a wonderful little model, who nodded off to sleep after some feed time with Mum. It was such a great session getting to use so many props and textured blankets.... J really didn't mind what we did! Check out the huge palm branch that Mum & Dad found ~ they are going to mount it on the wall of their new home and thought it might work at a photo prop... it sure does!!!!! Loved using it. Absolutely adorable big brother W is truly the sweetest little boy and was more than happy to pose for a few photos too. Of course we couldn't leave Mum and Dad out, so they jumped in for some lovely family photos at the end. L & A, thank you so much for asking me to photograph your little ones.... it was such an enjoyable session :-)

Meet Teagan and Paul! An absolutely beautiful couple who chose Moruya's Sacred Heart Catholic Church for their ceremony, and the Performing Arts Centre also in Moruya for their reception with 200 family and friends!. Teagan is so lovely and bubbly, and looked radiant in her tiered gown with black sash. Her gorgeous hairstyle was by the very talented Renee Harris, and her makeup by the equally talented Megan Green. I absolutely loved the stunning, bright bouquets which really stood out against the bridesmaids' black dresses. The bridal party were really fun and very obliging during the photo shoot, and I just loved the setting that Teagan and Paul chose. Thank you Guys for asking me to be a part of your day.... Lucy & Sean ~ Batemans Bay wedding photographer

The wedding of Lucy & Sean was such a lovely occasion to capture. They are such warm, inviting people, as are their families, and I felt right at home. The ceremony was to be held on lovely Barlings Beach, but the wind was a little too strong, so we were very fortunate to have a private, picturesque alcove in the Barlings Beach Tourist Park to have their beautiful ceremony. Lucy looked gorgeous in her wine red coloured gown with beautiful gold thread made by her very talented mum Rosemary. The stunning natural stem red rose bouquets had little gold threads through them to complement Lucy's gown and were made by the super talented Lee Farrant. I also loved the the Boy's hats with their matching red bands, and check out Sean's very cool 'rock and roll cufflinks! They celebrated with their guests at their evening reception at the ClubCatalina Country Club. Thank you Lucy and Sean for asking me to be a part of your day. Rebecca & Alexander ~ Batemans Bay wedding

Bec & Alex held their beautiful ceremony and marquee reception at the Coachhouse Marina Resort, Batemans Bay. Bec was chaffered to the ceremony in a stunningly restored old Chevy, that sounded absolutely awesome! We were blessed with a beautiful day and Bec & Alex, and their bridal party, were super fun and so obliging and welcoming. The Girls carried the most gorgeous rose bouquets by the very talented Joycie of Joycie's Flowers; and their lovely hair & makeup was by Elite Hair Studio.
The entire bridal party entered the reception wearing 'aviator' sunglasses to the Top Gun theme.... loved it! DJ Matt Brown was very obliging to my requests for 'more smoke' from the smoke machine so I could get some cool shots of everyone having fun on the dance floor! Sorry for this enormous post, but it was really hard to cull it down to a few images. Bec & Alex... thank you so much for asking me to be a part of your day, I had a great time :-)

I first met Kass & Leigh and their two gorgeous children, 4 year old J and 18 month old P, when I photographed their wedding in March 2010. I was very excited, and honoured, when Kass rang me to organise a family portrait session to celebrate their one year wedding anniversary! We were blessed with a beautiful afternoon, and it was so nice to catch up with them and Leigh's lovely Mum, and to see how much the kids have grown. I had a great time following them as they played in the sand, and thought their lollypop treat at the end made for some great photos. Renee and Chris held their beautiful, intimate ceremony at spectacular Depot Beach, conducted by celebrant Margaret McDonald. Once again the sky was an ominous grey and I noticed a couple of tiny drops on my camera during the ceremony... uh oh!!!!! We got through the ceremony, but it wasn't long before the clouds let us have it.... it poured! We scrambled for cars and trees, but decided to wait and see what the weather would do as I was very keen to have the bridal party photos at such a beautiful spot. After a little wait, we were blessed with good luck and the rain stopped, so we had a fun photoshoot all around Depot Beach. Renee and Chris had their lovely reception at Seagulls Restaurant (which happens to be my fave restaurant) and it looked gorgeous! Sisters Session ~ Batemans Bay

I have been very spoilt lately with the gorgeous little ones that I get to photograph... and the girls in this post are no exception! Meet 15 week old S and her big sister, 2 1/2 year old M. Their lovely Mum contacted me to see if I would be able to take some photos of her new little girl with her big sister.... well of course I could, so we organised a natural light studio session in their home. Little S is one of the most placid babies I have ever photographed, full of smiles and those big blue eyes just melt your heart. M is a very loving big sister and as you can see, is also gorgeous, blessed with the same beautiful eyes and is full of lots of chatter and ideas. Well... we had yet ANOTHER Saturday where rain was threatening. Nicole and Michael decided on picturesque Narooma Golf Club for their ceremony and reception, and stormy looking skies were again the backdrop. Fortunately though, the rain stayed away, and the bride and groom and their guests enjoyed a lovely afternoon. Michael chose to have his brother as his best man, and Nicole chose her sister as maid of honour, with Nicole's beautiful three year old niece completing the bridal party. I had some great spots lined up for the photos and everyone was very obliging as we travelled around Narooma. Thank you Nicole and Michael for allowing me to be a part of your special day! Meet 12 week old Z and his big sister, 4 year old R! I ventured to their house for a natural light studio session, and the little man was wide awake the whole session (until we were finished of course... lol) and he is truly adorable with his chubby little cheeks. Bree & Josh ~ Narooma Wedding

The wedding of Bree and Josh was held at Narooma Golf Club beneath a dramatic, rainy sky! Umbrellas were raised as the sky opened up on waiting family and friends on the golf course headland, but we were so blessed in that the rain decided to stop just as Bree arrived at the ceremony. She looked absolutely stunning too in the most amazingly different gown, and her bridesmaids complemented her beautifully. The Boys were equally handsome in their grey three piece suits. We spent a great afternoon, albeit a little humid, travelling around in a white stretch limo having the bridal party photos - the cloudy skies made for a wonderful backdrop for their day. It was really hard to narrow it down to a few images, so forgive this rather large post... lol. Thank you Bree and Josh for asking me to be a part of your special day, you are a truly lovely couple and you made me feel so welcome :-)

It was a glorious Summer day for the wedding of Juanita & Dale! Their ceremony was held overlooking the stunning view of the headland at Narooma Golf Course, with their reception also held at Narooma Golf Club. A few tears were shed during their lovely ceremony conducted by celebrant Jo Terlich, as the expression of their love in the vows was very moving. Juanita and Dale and their wonderful bridal party were very accomodating of my ideas whilst we were having photos at Tilba which, as a place, is a photographer's delight! I get to meet some very interesting people in my profession. Wendy is a freelance maritime journalist and she contacted me as she needed a professional headshot for use in a publication and online. Whilst I was setting up my studio gear at Wendy's house, we got to talking about her work and she is the editor of a London based maritime publication. I think it's pretty cool that she can work from home, for a publication on the other side of the world! Where would we be without the internet... lol.

Shhh..... it's a secret wedding! I had another wonderful wedding to be a part of on the very special (and popular) date of the 10.10.10! Belinda and Daniel held their ceremony and reception at the beautiful Eco Point Murramarang Resort at South Durras. It drizzled in the morning with black clouds rolling over not long before the ceremony was due to start. We had an absolutely beautiful day for the wedding of Kimberli and Nathan. The afternoon ceremony was held in a lovely reserve off Narrawallee Beach with their reception at Oceans Function Centre at Mollymook Surf Club. I had the priviledge of photographing Vera's 80th Birthday party. When I received a phone call from her daughter Helen asking me if I could come and capture some of this special event I thought.... what a lovely event to be a part of. Vera is the eldest of fifteen children, and many of her siblings were there to celebrate her special day. The adorable little centrepieces of a mini knitting bag spilling over with miniature goodies were a little tribute to Vera's love of knitting. Happy Birthday Vera, hope you had a lovely time.
